Recipe Book. 2024-2025. Bookbinding, papermaking, collaging, and bookmaking.

I first realized I needed to make paper when the pile of receipts, egg cartons, labels, tickets, and flyers in the corner of my room that I swore I would use for a collage was becoming unmanageable. I made the paper, sorting the good scraps I had collected that were too pretty to blend up into a separate stack.

This project evolved into a full book that I bound and wrote recipes into, especially at a time when I was thinking about the analogies between following a recipe and designing software as processes, inputs and outputs. The final book included both recipes and code from that period of my life.
